How Can We Help?
Data and system overview
This chapter explains the basic aspects of DataMesh Inspector regarding data sources, system operation, and account permissions, helping users understand the Inspector’s scope of use and dependency conditions.
This chapter does not include any instructions on platform configuration, data import, or permission settings.
Data and platform collaboration
DataMesh Inspector is a visualization and operations application for the runtime phase. It allows users to view, analyze, and handle pre-built scenes, devices, and alerts after the system goes live. It does not include capabilities for modeling, configuration, or data integration. Its display and operational abilities rely on data support from various platforms and systems.
The collaboration between Inspector and related platforms is as follows:
- FactVerse platform
Manages data for building/large-scale scenes, device and spatial digital twins, and the relationships between devices and spaces.
- FactVerse Designer
Used to create and manage 3D scene files and configure positioning markers for MR scene overlays. - DFS
Responsible for integrating device operational data and generating alert information based on data rules, which is displayed and handled by Inspector.
Inspector performs runtime visualization and operation based on the data provided by the above systems, and does not provide the following capabilities:
- Build or merge BIM scenes.
- Create or edit a digital twin.
- Configure device-to-space relationships.
- Configuring data sources or alert rules.
If you need to perform the above operations, please refer to the user manual of the corresponding platform or tool.
System requirements
To ensure a good user experience, please make sure the device running DataMesh Inspector meets the following system requirements.
The hardware and operating system requirements may differ depending on the platform, so please prepare based on your specific use case.
6.2.1 DataMesh Inspector Command Center (PC Application)
Supported operating systems
- Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Windows 11 (64-bit)
Hardware Requirements
Item | Minimum Configuration | Recommended Configuration |
Processor | Intel Core i5-11400F | Intel Core i7-14700K |
Graphics card | NVIDIA RTX 3060 | NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti |
Memory | 16 GB DDR4 | 64 GB DDR5 |
Storage | 512 GB SSD (PCIe 3.0) | 1 TB SSD (PCIe 4.0) |
Note:
- Command Center is primarily used for 3D scene browsing, data dashboard display, and analysis operations, and thus requires a powerful graphics card.
- It is recommended to use a dedicated graphics card to achieve more stable 3D rendering performance.
- In large parks or complex building scenes, the recommended configuration can significantly improve operational smoothness.
DataMesh Inspector (Mobile Application)
DataMesh Inspector (Mobile Application) supports installation and use on iPhone and iPad.
Operating system requirements
- Minimum Supported: iOS 15 / iPadOS 15
- Recommended Version: iOS 18 / iPadOS 18 or later
Hardware Configuration Recommendations
Device Type | Minimum Configuration | Recommended Configuration |
iPhone | iPhone 13 (A15, 4 GB RAM) | iPhone 15 Pro (A17, 6 GB RAM) |
iPad | iPad mini (2021) iPad Air 5 (2022) iPad Pro (2021) | iPad Pro (2024) iPad Air (2024) iPad mini (2024) |
Chip | Apple A15 | Apple M2 / A17 |
Memory | 4 GB | 8 GB |
Note:
- The mobile app is primarily used for field alert viewing, device location, and MR scene overlay, requiring certain device processing power and sensor performance.
- For MR scene overlay cases, newer models of iPhone or iPad are recommended for more stable location tracking and rendering.
- The actual experience may be influenced by on-site lighting conditions, space complexity, and network environment.
Compatibility
- The scale and complexity of scenes in different projects may vary, and hardware requirements may fluctuate accordingly.
- The recommended configuration is suitable for most production environments and large scene projects.
- For devices with limited performance, lowering rendering quality and similar measures can improve the user experience.
Account permissions
Account permissions are managed by the enterprise to ensure system security and compliance. To access FactVerse services and use DataMesh Inspector, users need to contact their enterprise administrator for authorization.
The enterprise administrator will assign the appropriate account permissions based on the user’s role and specific work requirements.
Inspector does not provide the following functions:
- Account creation
- Role configuration
- Permission management
After receiving authorization, users can log in to DataMesh Inspector and begin using the related functions.
