How Can We Help?
New Model Loading Mechanism Introduction
1. Overview
The February 2025 update (Version 2412, Internal Version 7.3.0) introduces a completely new model loading mechanism, designed to significantly improve loading performance. Both the old and new model loading mechanisms will run in parallel, so please be aware of compatibility between different versions.
2. Features of the new model loading mechanism
- Faster loading speed: The new mechanism significantly improves model loading speed compared to the old mechanism.
- Support for more formats (Future versions): Future versions will gradually support additional model formats.
- No additional acceleration service required: The new mechanism provides optimization without relying on additional acceleration services.
3. Scope of impact

Client product and model compatibility table:
Type |
New Model (uploaded with new mechanism) |
Old Model (uploaded with original mechanism) |
New Client (≥ version 2412) |
Defaults to using the new model loading mechanism |
Continues to use the original loading mechanism, but old models may show changes in some areas (e.g., shape, material) |
Old Client (< version 2412) |
Uses the original loading mechanism to load models, with no acceleration effect |
Continues to use the original model loading mechanism |
Definitions:
- New Client: DataMesh Importer, DataMesh Studio, FactVerse Designer, DataMesh One, version 2412 or above.
- Old Client: DataMesh Importer, DataMesh Studio, FactVerse Designer, DataMesh One, below version 2412.
- New Model: Models uploaded using the new mechanism.
- Old Model: Models uploaded using the original mechanism.
4. Known issues
- Apple Vision Pro compatibility issue: Opening models uploaded with the new mechanism or scenarios containing new models may cause the client to crash.
- Mesh structure changes: The new mechanism may cause changes in the model’s mesh structure, affecting shape presentation.
- Material effect differences: Some models’ material effects may differ from the original mechanism.
- Animation anomalies: Some models may experience animation issues.
5. Trial and feedback
- Before using the new loading mechanism, it is recommended to thoroughly validate it in a test environment to ensure the model loading performance meets expectations before applying it to the real working environment.
- If any issues are found with the new model, you can disable the new loading mechanism and re-upload the model.
- Please promptly record and report any abnormalities to facilitate further optimization of the loading mechanism.
6. Trial process
The trial process for Director’s new model loading mechanism is shown in the diagram below:

The usage process for Director’s new model loading mechanism is essentially the same as the original process, with the main difference being that before using the Importer to upload a model, the beta feature must be manually activated to enable the new loading mechanism. The specific steps are as follows:
DataMesh Importer
a) Log in to DataMesh Importer.
b) Enable beta features.
i. Click the Settings button and select Beta Features from the menu.
ii. In the popup window, toggle the experimental feature switch to enable it.

iii. Click OK in the information prompt.
iv. After closing the window, the workspace will display a message indicating “You are currently using beta features.”
c) Open the model.
d) Select nodes.
e) Edit the material (optional).
f) Upload the model.
DataMesh Studio
a) Log in to DataMesh Studio.
b) Edit or create a scenario using the model uploaded with the new loading mechanism.

c) Save the scenario.
DataMesh One
a) Log in to DataMesh One.
b) Open the scenario.
c) Play the scenario.
