Alert Diagnosis to Work Order Loop

Use this guide when an alert, predictive queue item, or operating risk needs to become reviewed maintenance work. The loop connects evidence, owner approval, work execution, and feedback.

Loop Flow

Prerequisites

Requirement	Why it matters
Alert context	Severity, affected equipment, latest value, and recent pattern should be visible.
Asset owner	Someone must confirm whether the diagnosis is actionable.
Work-order permission	Creating or linking work requires approved access.
Feedback fields	The loop needs result, root cause, action note, and closure evidence.

Inputs

Alert or risk record	Starting point for diagnosis and dispatch review.
Asset detail	Equipment identity, open work, health trend, prediction history, and location.
Diagnosis record	Explanation, confidence, trace ID, source, and reviewer.
Work-order context	Existing open work, owner, priority, SLA status, and attachments.
Feedback	Closure note, outcome, root cause, evidence, and follow-up action.

Procedure

1. Open the alert, predictive queue item, or asset risk record.
2. Review asset identity, recent alerts, open work, and source timestamps.
3. Create or read the diagnosis record.
4. Check confidence, trace ID, evidence source, and responsible reviewer.
5. Link existing work or create a work-order draft after owner approval.
6. Record feedback when the work closes.
7. Confirm the closed-loop view shows diagnosis, action, and outcome evidence.

Expected Output

The team should have a traceable record from alert or risk signal to diagnosis, approved action, work-order execution, feedback, and closed-loop evidence.

Validation Checklist

• The alert or risk record resolves to a stable asset.
• Diagnosis includes source, confidence, trace ID, and reviewer.
• Duplicate open work was checked before creating new work.
• Work order includes owner, priority, asset, and evidence.
• Feedback updates the closed-loop record.

Failure Handling
